Home Inspections

We provide an in-depth comprehensive inspection of your home from top to bottom.  Your inspection will be conducted by a Certified Professional Inspector who is educated, skilled and experienced.  Because our inspection is not just a report, it’s an educational process; we strongly encourage our clients to participate in the inspection.  The results are presented in a thorough, easy to understand report complete with photos.  A short time after the inspection, your report is ready for viewing, downloading and printing on your own computer via our website.  We follow the Standards of Practice of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI) and strictly abide by their Code of Ethics to ensure the most professional inspection experience available.

Mold Inspections

Do you have a mold issue in your home?  Moisture intrusion, water damage, musty odors, visible apparent mold growth and conditions conducive to mold growth are all areas of concern in relation to mold.  A mold inspection will address these areas of concern using visual examination, moisture testing, state of the art sampling techniques and  detailed laboratory analysis.  Your inspection will be performed by a Certified Mold Inspector who is educated, skilled and experienced.   Your participation is welcome and encouraged.  The mold inspection report is formatted and delivered much the same as our home inspection report, with the exception of laboratory results, which are available in 2-3 days.  We follow the Standards of Practice of the International Association of Certified Indoor Air Consultants (IAC2). Learn more about mold by clicking ‘Mold Information‘ on the main menu.

Radon Testing

According the the Environmental Protection Agency, Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can cause lung cancer.  The EPA recommends that every home buyer have a radon test performed and the state of Minnesota requires any Radon past test results be disclosed by home sellers.  This way you know what you and your family will be exposed to in your new home.  Many people are surprised to hear that much of Minnesota is in the high to moderate risk Radon exposure zone.  We recommend that everyone have their home tested.  If dangerous levels of Radon are detected there are relatively inexpensive remedies that can be installed in most homes.  We use exclusively Radalink electronic Radon Monitors.  Our monitors exceed the EPA requirements for accuracy and are the only certified Radon test reports in the industry.  Most importantly:  Know what you are breathing in your home.  Schedule a Radon test today.   Certified – “Certified Professional Inspector” by InterNACHI “Advanced Home Inspector” by PHII “Certified Mold Inspector” by IAC2 Member – International Association of Certified Home Inspectors National Society of Home Inspectors International Association of Certified Indoor Air Consultants Background – Over 15 years of building trade industry involvement Experience – Over 1,200 residential inspections web_work.002.jpgperformed iac2-mold_lvit_a1qa.gif  inspectionlogo2.jpg nshi_logo_web.jpg
